Introduction
The HoloceneHydroclimate database is a new global compilation of 1,288 terrestrial paleohydrology proxy records for the Holocene (11,700 yr BP to present) from 813 sites. The records are from a variety of archive types and are sensitive to hydroclimate variables such as moisture balance, precipitation, and temperature.See the criteria and data submission sections below for details.

Publication
A data descriptor for the compilation was published in Paleoceanography and Paleoclimatology and is available here.

Criteria for inclusion
The complete criteria for inclusion are described in the publication, but in short: To be included in this compilation, a dataset must meet several criteria:
- Hydroclimate Sensitivity: The records must have a primary sensitivity to hydroclimate.
- Record Duration: the age range covers a minimum of 4 kyr between 0 and 12 ka.
- Record Resolution: The median spacing between measurements spans fewer than 400 years.
- Chronological Control: a control point at least every 3 ka or a relatively even spacing (<4 ka) of at least five control points during the Holocene.
- Peer-review: Records must be from peer-reviewed publications.
