basis: Our previous studies[10,19] have revealed that annual mean I´ 18O in the Malan ice core mainly reflects the summer temperature (high annual mean I´ 18O value implies warm summer while low annual mean I´ 18O value means cold summer), and its variation can ex-press the variations of summer temperatures in the large part of the northern Tibetan Plateau.
